Synopsis

A comedic play set around a society of people without the knowledge of what it means to be ‘happy’. The lands are full of giant animals that live and talk in a pantomime fashion and ruled by a King whose discourse is absurd. The King is incapable of love, guidance, charity and believes that his people should work all day and night from the day they are born. At his people’s request, and fear of being overruled, he sends his two most loyal servants, Horse and Smelly, to discover ‘happiness’ and bring it back to their people. They instead, set their sights on a young girl named Paula, the pride of a far land, which is setting up for a carnival. Paula represents all that is good and just in the world. After her kidnapping, her people, led by her mama, papa and a pig, will stop at nothing to retrieve her from the distant land.
