Synopsis

2012 and Jeremy Charles, a popular TV personality seems the ideal candidate to be London’s first black mayor. Good looking, well-spoken and a hero to boot, when footage of him slapping a knife wielding teenager, Lavelle, goes viral. Jeremy is idealistic and determined to make a difference to the lives of underprivileged Black youth. He even mentors Lavelle in his own comfortable home during Lavelle’s probation. But can Jeremy be the real people’s candidate? The hash realities of political campaigning, the conflicting dictates of seasoned operator Howard Jones, and the complexities of his and Lavelle’s real lives means the line between right and wrong for Jeremy’s campaign can be difficult to tread.
