The Nine Night follows the family of patriarch Jamon Williams, the first in his family to move to the UK from the West-Indies. He struggles to reconcile the cultural differences between him and his children who have only ever known life in Britain, as he begins to miss his life (and secret wife) back in his home country. He projects his internal conflict and rage onto his family, pushing them further and further away, all the while his children begin to form families of their own.
