Synopsis

General Basha Bash is the ignorant, loyal muscleman tasked to execute coup after military coup as each new Commander in Chief drains money from Government funds. Why shouldn’t General Basha Bash himself to be the new Commander and Head of State, thinks his forcefully astute wife, Maariya. Maariya successfully masterminds a lunchtime coup. But to persuade the sceptical and restive crowds that General Bash’s military prowess is only restoring democracy, a change in the General’s title is necessary. And to prove he is not corrupt, the General shows the crowds his empty pockets ‘baabu’, nothing. King Baabu he becomes, for no one can be against monarchies he reasons, they have them in Europe. King Baabu then embarks on his debauched reign of feasting, torture and rebel repression, assisted by his rag tag army, who themselves are being assisted by the former family tutor with formidable overseas training.
