Synopsis

B is for Black follows the rise, then fall from grace of Ben Nelson. A Black man who attended Oxford, Ben eagerly begins his first day at West Chamberlayne Arts (WCA), a government funded arts organisation. Ben is determined to show his new colleague, Imani, promoter of a local Pan-African movement, that he isn’t just another Uncle Tom. However, when Ben’s White middle class wife and father-in-law appear at the WCA office, Imani begins to doubt the validity of his claims. Does Imani want Ben to break his White middle class ties, and will she stop at nothing to achieve this?
