Synopsis

A Season in the Congo charts the rise and fall of the Congolese political leader Patrice Lumumba during the transformation of the Beligian Congo. The play follows Lumumba’s efforts to free the Congolese from Belgian rule and the political strugles that led to his assasination in 1961.
