Tonderai Munyevu
Biography
Tonderai Munyevu is an award-winning queer writer, director, and performer. Writing credits include Mugabe, My Dad and Me (York Theatre Royal/ETT, UK Theatre Award: Best New Play, 2022), Mansfield Park (Watermill Theatre), The Moors (Tara Arts/Two Gents), and The Last Chihoro (BBC Radio 4). He also writes prose, including The Visiting Hours, A Dispatch From Zimbabwe for The Johannesburg Review Of Books, and Bullets for the anthology Black And Gay In The UK.
He has been a salaried writer at Stockroom, Associate Artist at Tiata Fahodzi, Creative Associate at Brixton House Theatre, a member of HighTide’s The Lighthouse Writers’ Group, a recipient of a Peggy Ramsay Foundation Grant, and the co-founder/co-artistic director of Two Gents Productions.
