Rex Obano

Biography

London born Rex Obano is a playwright and writer for screen and radio. Obano studied philosophy at the University of North London, and after graduating he spent a year in the USA and studied Playwriting at City College in New York. Obano was part of the Script Factory Writers Passage Group in 2005, and Talawa Theatre’s Writers Group in 2006. His works for theatre include: 2009 (Theatre503), Someone’s Son (Pub Theatre), Slaves (Theatre503), The Door Never Closes (Almeida Theatre), Burned to Nothing (Almeida Theatre) and the Hamlet Voyage (Bristol Habour Festival).
