Doña Daley

1956-2002

Biography

Doña Daley was a writer for theatre and radio whose plays include: Rock a Bye Camden (Embassy Studio); Stick Stack Stock (Battersea Arts Centre); Weathering the Storm (West Yorkshire Playhouse); Just One Kiss (Hampstead Theatre) and The Barbershop (Soho Theatre). Her play Weathering the Strom was adapted for radio and she began working on the play after a workshop with fellow playwright, Winsome Pinnock. She was apart of the Royal Court’s International Residency in 1999 and her play Blest Be the Tie was later staged at the Royal Court in 2004 following her premature death in 2002.
