Carmen E. Tipling

Carmen E. Tipling CD is a playwright and the former CEO of the Jamaica Information Service. She is also journalist and communicator. She is the co-writer of the musical Arawak Gold, alongside Ted Dwyer. The play premiered at the Cochrane Theatre in 1992 and received three top Jamaican theatre awards during the same year. Tipling has also won awards for her other plays, having won Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in the Jamaica Festival’s playwriting competitions 1969, 1969 and 1972.
