Synopsis
Now We Are Here was a workshopped piece with refugee writers in collaboration with Deanna Rodger, Ian Rickson and Imogen Brodie. The play explores the writers’ life experiences as refugees/asylum seekers fleeing persecution for being LGBTQ+ from Burundi, Pakistan and the Caribbean. The piece was performed by professional actors via the participants own writing and all ticket sales were given to charity.
