Biography
Jamal Ali was born in Guyana and is a playwright and poet. During the 1970s Ali founded RAPP (Radical Alliance of Poets and Player). Ali, along with Norman Beaton and Rufus Collins, took over the running of the Dark and Light Theatre Company, later renamed Black Theatre of Brixton.
