This is a modern fairy tale fusing African, Asian, and European myth with urban city life. Two female friends are trapped in the web of the African trickster, Anansi the spider. Kali, the Indian Goddess of the night and protector of lost daughters, comes to their rescue. However Anansi needs to drink the blood of two young maidens for longevity and eternal beauty, and so begins the battle between Kali and Anansi, while the two young maidens try to find true love in the depths of the forest in the hope that they will be set free.
