Biography
Born in Basse-Pointe, a small town on the northeast coast of Martinique in the French Caribbean Aime Cesaire was a playwright, poet and politician. His epic Notebook of a poem Return to My Native Land first published in 1939, was produced and performed by Cy Grant as a one-man show in 1971.
