Biography

Inter-Action was founded in 1968 by the American playwright and producer Ed Berman, MBE. Based in Kentish Town, London, Inter-Action was an umbrella organisation established to explore new forms of creative, learning and participatory programmes for inner city communities. During this early period the organisation created a wide range of community and self-help projects such as city farms as well as several different professional theatre companies. These included the Ambiance Lunch Hour Theatre club and the Almost Free Theatre.
